New Years Eve Wedding at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Ski Resort
What a way to go out on the craziest year in our lifetime! Meghan and Tom were married at the Park Hyatt on New Year’s Eve 2020 for this Beaver Creek Colorado Winter Wedding. I know planning a wedding in 2020 has caused hardships for lots of couples and their families. This couple is incredibly resilient, and together they decided to make their wedding the period to end the year that is 2020. I am so thankful that they chose me and trusted me to capture their winter wedding in beautiful Avon, Colorado!
First, please notice Meghan’s elevated taste for shoes! I mean, three pairs of shoes and some custom pieces added such style to this small, intimate Beaver Creek Colorado Winter Wedding.
Bella Belle heels for the ceremony, red suede boots for walking in the snow during her newlywed photos, and custom Airforce Ones with the bride and grooms initials and NYE to signify their wedding day.
I’m a sucker for a great heel but having the option to kick ’em off and have comfy and warm options should be a requirement for your wedding day!
Meghan’s room overlooked the Village at Beaver Creek. It was so fun to watch all the ice skaters on the rink! Keep scrolling for some of their portraits on the ice rink at twilight.
Winter Wedding Ceremony on the Spa Deck at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek
The ceremony took place on the spa deck at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. It’s a gorgeous secluded spot for a small, intimate wedding. They had less than 20 guests, and I’d say that was the perfect amount of a ceremony in this location. I love how my favorite venues have pivoted to make new locations gorgeous for small weddings.
Mountainside Bride and Groom Portraits at Beaver Creek Ski Resort
Following their intimate ceremony, we went to one of my favorite mountainside locations for newlywed pictures. My favorite part of this time with just Meghan and Tom was when all the skiers and snowboarders were yelling congratulations at them as they made their way back to the base of Beaver Creek Ski Resort.
Wedding Reception Dinner at The Crooked Hearth
The quant reception was held in the Crooked Hearth Restaurant at the Park Hyatt. Holy wow! It was such a perfect spot for their friends and family to gather. Just before the first course was served, all the guests went out on the deck to watch the New Years Eve fireworks that Beaver Creek Ski Resort puts on each NYE. I love that the ski resort still puts on a fireworks show each New Year’s Eve because it’s such a special way to ring in the new year. If you happen to have a wedding at the Park Hyatt on New Year’s Eve, then you get a complimentary fireworks show! Not a bad deal right?
