This mountaintop-dream wedding almost wasn’t. We had every season of weather on the day: it snowed, it rained, the sun shined. The 40+ MPH winds actually halted the gondola right before the bride went up. The florist, band and my photo team were also held back. Just as everyone was about to resign themselves to plan B, the party was finally allowed to ascend the mountain.

Highly suggest taking the time before your rehearsal dinner to capture some portraits on your destination wedding weekend. Alexa and Dan took the afternoon before their rehearsal dinner to take some pre-wedding portraits. Sometimes I get the opportunity to do engagement sessions with my couples. When I don't get to meet them in person before the wedding week, I love getting a mini pre-wedding portrait time in with them the day before their wedding. It really helps break the ice and get them comfortable in front of the camera. That makes it so much easier come the big day when you just really want to be present and forget the cameras. #aspenwedding #aspenweddingphotographer #aspen #aspencolorado #andreastarkphoto
