Sharing a touching moment from John and Katie's wedding: As a heartfelt tribute to John's late mother, Katie presented him with a precious gift on the morning of their wedding. The cremation ashes were meticulously transformed into these exquisite metal hummingbird cufflinks, to honor his mom and serve as a reminder of his mother's presence throughout their journey. 🕊️While Katie was getting ready with her girls, a few visitors made their way to Katie's balcony. If you're a fellow photographer, you'll find this a cool sidenote about this feature + the wedding weekend. Do you know how weddings in the last few years have gone from just being a Saturday thing to being normal to have a wedding on a Friday or Sunday?

Well, get this lineup, It's Memorial Day weekend in Aspen Colorado--the kick-off to the summer season. Friday night's wedding at The Little Nell Wedding Deck was photographed by @lauramurray. Sunday night's wedding was photographed by @ktmerry. Does that make me the cream to the ultimate wedding photographer Oreo cookie? --maybe a laduree macaroon--that sounds better.

I'm honored to have shot at the same venues as my photography mentors and idols.

It doesn't stop there. Get this, Jose Villa, the renowned celebrity wedding photographer was the last photographer published in the summer issue of the Modern Luxury Aspen. Now to be published in the very magazine and exact feature as literally the greatest of all time.

P.S. If you're reading this @josevilla, I think you're pretty awesome. I bought your "Fine Art of Wedding Photography" book back at Barnes and Nobel about 12 years ago and it still sits on my desk.
