A Timeless Fall Wedding at the Four Seasons Vail
Our bride, Kaylyn, grew up in Denver and spent her formative years in Vail, skiing in the Winter and hiking in the Summer. She always wanted her fall wedding to be at the Four Seasons Vail. She knew the Four Seasons in Vail would be the perfect place to host her family and friends as the aspens changed colors. As you’ll see, it was the ideal destination for this extremely-dreamy western-chic wedding.
From the beginning, Kaylyn worked with wedding planner, Kira Barczy since she was planning the event from across the country in Charleston, SC, where the couple resides. “Kira was so warm, organized, professional, receptive to my ideas, and wonderful to work with. She made me feel confident through the whole process. Kira was calm and supportive and as a bride, I needed that.” Kaylyn gushed.
While all the bridal attendants wore white, Kaylyn stunned in a lace applique Monique Lhuillier gown with a detachable train and a full-length veil. The wedding dress was conveniently convertible into three different styles, so the lace bolero was removed for the reception for a sleek off-the-shoulder column. Later, the sleeves came off completely and the bride kicked off her Manolo Blahnik heels in favor of Lucchese boots made for dancing the night away.
Moments to last Forever
Before the events of the big day began, the wedding party took the Eagle Bahn Gondola up the mountain to indulge in some truly lovely portraits. Of the photography, Kaylyn said, “Andrea Stark and her team were amazing! They made everyone feel so at ease and were extremely patient with our large group. They worked behind the scenes all day to ensure no detail was missed. Andrea truly captured the liveliness and energy of the guests; the beauty and colors of the scenery, and most importantly, the love and happiness between Carson and me. When looking back at her pictures, we can feel those moments again.”
Heartwarming Stationery
One of Kaylyn’s bridesmaids, Kitty, is an incredible luxury paper goods creator based out of Charleston, South Carolina. She created all of the gorgeous paper goods and graphics for their wedding weekend.
Heavenly Florals
The pair chose to hold their ceremony at the simply breathtaking Vail Interfaith Chapel. With overflowing pastel flowers from Bustle and Bloom framing the altar, the bridal party looked classic in coordinating black and white. “My bouquet was Lily of the Valley, flown in from Holland the morning of the wedding. The centerpieces incorporated ranunculus, dahlias, toffee roses, Queen Anne’s lace, larkspur, etc,” the bride said later.
Dance the Night Away
The couple wanted a timeless, traditional celebration with exciting, modern touches. The antlers and acorns on the tables represented both the mountains and the low country by way of deer sheds and seeds of the live oaks that cover the Carolina coast. The reception was held at the Four Seasons in Vail, where the guests danced the night away to music by the band SoulX. Kaylyn and her guests raved about the seated dinner, saying, “The Four Seasons Vail was remarkable! The food was divine. Their team was top-notch and the attention to detail and guest services were outstanding. Their level of professionalism to ensure our day went smoothly did not go unnoticed.”
If you haven’t seen the pre-wedding events for their Vail wedding weekend yet, you must! Carson’s family hosted the guests at The Slope Room at Gravity Haus for a fine night of dining and the deepest belly laugh-inducing speeches. See the gorgeous event we were honored to shoot here.
