Natalie and Jeremy’s winter wedding at Devil’s Thumb Ranch was what I’d call feminine opulence with organic Colorado touches. The whole wedding day was so relaxed for everyone. Even for us vendors, it was no hustle and bustle and everything just flowed without any rush. That’s of course due to Brittany Tucker with Kelly Karli Weddings and Events planned the day flawlessly.
All the fine touches were taken care of by an incredible team of vendors and planners. The design team with Eclectic Hive set up the Broad Axe Barn like I’ve never seen it before. From the draping to the farm tables, flowy table runner and hand written acrylic menus, and roaring fire flanked by even more candlelight it was the most elegant design. La Rue Floral Design was responsible for the gorgeous dusty rose, mauve, and eggplant purple flowers and greenery draping from what felt like every inch of Broad Axe Barn. There was even a cozy fire pit and lounge on the deck for post reception cocktails, s’mores and cigars to end the night.
Devil’s Thumb Ranch and Spa Venue
Devil’s Thumb Resort and Spa is one of my favorite ranch venues in Colorado, especially in the winter months when you can see guests taking to cross-country ski trails and horses munching hay on the snow. Even the ranch horses made an appearance after their first look. It’s tucked away on sprawling acreage in Tabernash, away from the bustle of neighboring ski towns. Still close enough to get on the slopes at Winter Park or Granby Ranch.
I was honored to assist Sarah Porter Photography on this wedding and excited to share with you some of the images I took that day.
